ARTIST'S STATEMENT:
"Beauty is in the hands of those who have the courage to imagine it and the audacity to create it."

ABOUT ARTWORKS

Originally I named them "Bones and glitter": I think it could represent well the beauty of essence. Because this is what I am chasing. I call it essence but we can call it meaning as well.

This is a series of handmade mixed technique illustrations based on alchemy colours and glitter dust, with a touch of Japanese style: working with glitter allows me to have outstanding effects when the painting plays with light (natural or artificial). Sometimes I add three-dimensional elements like flowers or butterflies or anything else that might suit the purpose

I like to consider these images like "tarots": through a symbolic language, based on anatomy and animals standing on a neutral background, my artworks speak a broader language about life and feelings. I try to match the opposites, taking down prejudices. I like paradoxes, contraddictions and synthesis.

My artworks do not have a background: at this very moment they don't need it. They do not need a context because they don't want any distractions: better to go straight to the point.

I use just four colours, which are those ones of alchemical process: black, red, white and gold. Incisive and bold, they represent the transformation from raw material to precious ones (that is what happens to a person over a lifetime through experiences).

ABOUT ME

I am born in Milan in 1977 with a chaotic and revolutionary DNA flowing in my veins.

I'm an artist and a creative professional (art director) mesmerized by images, words and beauty. About the lattest, I've always done my best to catch it on my path and if I didn't find it, I went for create it.

Since graduation at IED Communication Milan in 2005, I have given birth to a crazy amount of works, both artistic and related to communication.

I draw, I take pictures, I design and handcraft my line of artistic paper jewelry and, last but not least, I write: it all takes me a huge amount of time and energy, but still, to me it's a way to make sense of life and it makes me feel fine.

I'm a strong observer and a deep thinker and I'm always in the search for Truth and Sense: it's a long way to but it's worth the effort and the journey. I always move inbetween the above mentioned expression tools, challenging myself and my skills which I always want to improve.
