COUPLES Series

This is my first dyptich.
It was a few months I wanted to paint a bride and a groom and at the end of 2020 they hardly knocked on my door asking to be portraied. I wanted to stick on paper their outstanding and peculiar beauty: and this is the result in all of their magnificence. There's not so much more to say: they speak for themselves (and they are quite eloquent).

There are couples and couples. Some (I cannot give a percentage) are in love till death do them part. Some others spend an entire life together, and the older they become, the more they argue. In their fights they tear each other to pieces: they seem very close to eat partner's heart.

Sometimes relationships, mainly those you are not able to quit for some reasons, are a very tough affaire.

Apparently this is quite a static image but at the same time, if you stare at it, you can feel something is suddenly going to happen. It reminds me of the moment right before a fight: as if the twos were smelling one each other like animals.
